It is always amazing how quickly summer passes. After 10 weeks of Open Air Yoga, we concluded the Open Air Yoga season on Sunday 8 September with a cosy class with Ruth in Bavaria Park. Four brave Yoginis / Yogis were there - and we collected an additional 50 &euro; in donations. Thank you to everyone who participated.
Despite the weather this year, we collected a total of 1,345.40 &euro; in donations for Refugio. Thank you very much for your fabulous support. With your contribution we are able to support Refugio in its work with traumatized children and teenagers from refugee families. Thank you!

The pelvic floor helps women of all ages to develop a supportive body centre. This workshop includes practical exercises for refined self-perception, strengthening, relaxation and a mini course in the anatomy of the pelvis.

Headstand (Shirhsasana) is often referred to as the king of all yoga postures.&nbsp; Just looking at the posture, this is easy to understand.&nbsp; In headstand the body is held completely upside down with the entire weight held with the lower arms, shoulders and bandhas.&nbsp; Contradictory to its name, only minimal weight is actually held upon the head itself.

This workshop is open to those new to headstand as well as those wishing to refine their current practice.
During this workshop we will break down the headstand into a step-by-step sequence, helping to make this challenging, and sometimes scary, posture easier and more enjoyable.

Often the hips feel blocked or closed. This is because we usually move the muscles in the hips, groins and backside of the body in uni-dimensional direction. We spend a majority of our time in sitting - at the computer, at the office, in our cars, on the sofa. Even our toilets are set up to support this uni-dimensional movement. As a result the psoas, the muscle responsible for flexion in the hips, becomes tight and weak, further reducing multi-dimensional movement in the hips.
As a result the hips become tight and even painful, often causing tightness in other parts of the body.
This workshop focuses asanas that increase flexibility and openness in the pelvis and allow the muscules in the groin, hips and buttocks to rebuild the multidimensional range of motion of the hip.
No previous experience is required. All levels are welcome.

Daily life is full of stressors &ndash; and these days this can feel extreme.&nbsp; While we can not always change the external situation, yoga offers many tools which can help us to better ride the waves of turbulence.&nbsp; In this three hour workshop, we will discuss the physiology of stress in body, how stress effects the autonomic nervous system and how its two branches (the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems) ideally work hand in hand to keep the body in balance. We will then explore elements of the yoga practice including gentle asana, breathwork (pranayama), guided meditation and chanting, which are particularly helpful in times of anxiety and stress.

Sandra attended her first yoga class in 2009 when she was looking for a balance to the challenges of being an architect. Even today she remembers how balanced she felt afterwards and how well she slept the following night.
Since then, yoga has always helped her to find her center. Many years of practice followed here and there, in Nepal, in India, in Bali, in her father's garden in Colombia, always for herself without claiming to achieve or be anything.
If you are looking for undogmatic, body-friendly yoga classes, Sandra is the right place for you. Sandra gives Hatha classes and also undogmatic, gentle Vinyasa classes with challenges but also time to practice in your breath.
When she couldn't pursue her passion of traveling in 2020, she dedicated her time to her second passion of yoga and invested her time in a 200 hr Hatha Flow training. And then completed a 300 hr Vinyasa, Liquid Flow training with Simon Park, Klara Puski and Susan Michel.

Theme: Everyday Heroes We will stay true to the Sunday theme, starting slowly with gentle breaths to then combine them with movements. We - Helen and Julia - cordially invite you to a mindful practice of yoga and sound that will support you in doing just that.
We start together with a flowing Vinyasa flow and a guided breathing meditation to arrive in the body and in the moment. Then a gentle yin yoga sequence, accompanied by the soothing sounds of Tibetan singing bowls, will lead you into deeper relaxation. Finally, you can surrender completely to the sound: Let yourself be carried by the vibrating, grounding tones of the gongs.
Whether you already have experience or are attending for the first time - you are very welcome! On Thursday, 3 July, we will be offering a children's yoga trial-class for children aged 4-10.
Kids 4-5 from 14:45-15:30. Kids 6-10 from 15:40-16:40.
The course of the class is similar to the family yoga workshop: the focus is on the children. Yoga is taught in a playful way by learning the first asanas with fun and imagination. We travel through the classes with various themes and stories and do different partner and mindfulness exercises. The class creates a conscious connection and a mindful being together in the here and now.
This yoga class is for children without an accompanying person.
