Juan

Instead of saying Juan discovered yoga, it's more accurate to say yoga came to Juan, when she had no idea how much she needed it.

It all began with a casual invitation from a friend to a 30-day online yoga challenge during COVID lockdown. Initially, like for many people, yoga was just a form of exercise to her. She kept the practice over the years by visiting different studios. Until 2024, a near-burnout pulled the brakes. She went on a gap year, and decided to deepen her practice and understanding of yoga by completing a 200-hour Registered Teacher Training (main focus: Hatha & Vinyasa). It gradually became clear to her how disconnected she used to be from her own body and how yoga is so much more than just a workout.

Through rigorous focus on alignment, she started to reconnect with individual parts of her body she'd never paid attention to. Through synchronizing every movement with every breath, she found a way to quiet her mind. Through simply showing up, again and again, she learned in the most raw and grounded way, how every body and every journey is truly unique. There is no such thing as competition or perfection in yoga. It is forever a journey of becoming, with oneself and oneself only.

Her goal is therefore to bring yoga to everyone and make it inclusive - for those who don't feel flexible enough, strong enough, balanced enough, or spiritual enough - so that they too can over time let go of those self-limiting definitions, embrace the journey of becoming, and discover the benefits of the practice in their own unique way.

In her classes, Juan combines pranayama (breathwork) with a dynamic Vinyasa flow that is designed to build strength, flexibility, and balance simultaneously. She places a special focus on alignment and full-body awareness, and offers hands-on adjustments to help fellow practitioners find their edge and go deeper into their practice - all in a lighthearted way and occasional laughter.
